In my work as an analyst, I am blessed to report to the top management. It turned out to be a double-edged sword, though, meaning reward was equal to the stress. Since there was no way of escaping ("flight") my situation, I chose to cope with it ("fight"). If you have avenues for frustration, you may be able to neutralize the stress response before it destroys too many cells. Exercise is a great avenue for frustration. During my work, when I get a chance, I take a walk or do a five-minute exercise in the office. It had helped me think clearly and act calmly in stressful situations. Exercising is not easy, if you hate it, don't do it because if the exercising is stressful to you, it defeats the purpose, and it is counterproductive.
